We did a lot of searching around to find the right tv. This is it. Wow, if you want a 60in lcd, this is it. The color is incredible, I actually compared the color to a non quattron tv and you can see the difference in depth of yellow.
The contrast is pretty impressive as well for an LCD. Dark knight on blue ray looks so good, you can see the make up mistakes! What a great tv, would highly recommend it. It is very light and super thin, looks beautiful even when its off.

We’ve had the Sharp 65″ LCD HDTV for a month and it is everything Sharp said it would be. The colors are true to life, the HiDef is great and the overall picture quality is wonderful. This was our first major Amazon online purchase and we were cautiously optomistic about buying our new TV online; however, we priced the same TV at local dealers and big box stores and as we saved 00 over the cheapest local store we decided to buy using Amazon since no matter who we bought from the TV would have to be shipped here so why not try Amazon. Delivery was faster than expected and came off without a problem at all. It was all in all a very smooth, pain free experience; the way things should be. The vendor the TV came from was extremely friendly, cooperative and answered all of my questions. They shipped it to us at no additional charge, and the TV was packaged and crated extremely well.

Sharp Aquos LC52SE94U 52-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV Review
This is an outstanding TV. Bright clear picture, clean motion, lots of inputs. I considered the comparable Samsungs but did not like the shiny screen or frame. The picture quality was indistinguishable to my eyes in the store. I ultimately settled on Sharp due to the reports of extraordinary customer service for Sharp vs. much less satisfaction with Samsung customer service. I have not been disappointed with the Sharp so far.
Update – After nearly 6 weeks, the wall mount finally arrived. Thumbs up for Sharp, thumbs down for Abe’s of Maine.
I would have rather purchased the TV from Amazon, but they do not sell this model direct. So, I bought from Abe’s of Maine, who offered no tax, free shippping and a free wall mount. This made their price substantially less than other vendors; moreover, Abe’s was highly rated as a vendor. My experience? I cannot recommend Abe’s of Maine (actually, Abe’s of New Jersey). After I ordered the TV online, I got an e-mail to call them to discuss the order. Not surprisingly, a high pressure salesman tried to get me to upgrade everything from the mode of delivery, to the free wall mount, to an extended warranty, even to a different TV. I did upgrade the delivery as what came for free was “curbside delivery” and got a mount that was thinner (and tiltable) compared to the “free mount” that was included with the TV which was not tiltable. After about 2.5 weeks, the TV showed up. Delivery was quick and easy and the driver helped me remove the TV from the box and set it up. But the wall mount I ordered was not included, forcing me to scramble to find a solution to put the TV on temporarily. So far, I am still waiting for the wall mount, more than a week after reporting it missing.
Bottom line – This Sharp is one fine TV. Abe’s of Maine was disappointing.

We’ve been using this TV since June 2008! No problems – however, we don’t really use the TV speakers so I can’t really comment too much on them but before I had the theater system hooked up it sounded fine – one thing from the sound that I really miss was the TV’s sound processers ability to mediate the volume transitions from programs to commercials concerning broadcast TV.
We have a DVD player, Wii, Roku (Netflix), TV antenna, and a VCR all hooked up via a HiDef Stereo receiver. The TV works great with everything.
We have rearragned our living room such that at times it is desirable to rotate the TV on its base towards the couch and this is done with ease. I’m using a logitech remote but it was easy enough to use the original TV remote.
I saw lots of reviews about this TV with the outcome of a coupon at Costco. I waited until the very last day of the coupon validity to see if anyone had posted any negative reviews and there were none that were valid enough to me.
I highly recommend this product as long as you don’t want to mount it on the absolutly flat on wall as the access ports all come straight out the back and therefore you would need to keep the back of the TV at least 2-3 more inches away. You could always cut out the wall there I suppose. Your choice.
